Extracted from a dry-pit deposit, Pacific Pumice® material is sterile and maintains a neutral pH. There are there no pathogenic organisms to lead to root rot or other fungal diseases, and the material contains no concentration of elements (particularly manganese) that may adversely affect plant growth.

The vesicular texture of Pacific Pumice® provides high aeration and free draining benefits, ideal for a range of crops especially those which have low tolerance to high levels of moisture in the root zone.
